Cynthia Bromley

Obituary of Cynthia Marie Bromley

Cynthia Marie Boudrie was born on June 9, 1957 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of four children born from the union of the late Kenneth and the late Alice (Beruns) Boudrie. Cynthia attended Jefferson High School graduating with the Class of 1976.

Cynthia met the love of her life, Douglas A. Bromley, and they were joined in marriage on August 17, 1991 in Westland. Cynthia tirelessly cared for the needs of her family.   She also worked outside the home for several banking institutions.   Her career would span more than thirty years, most recently being employed at PNC in Monroe until she retired.

More than anything, Cynthia valued relationships.   Family meant the most and spending time with loved ones was always cherished.   She often hosted gatherings in her home; sharing meals, and playing cards and board games.   Cynthia was sure to include all of the children in the festivities even letting them assist with decorating.   In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and collecting antiques, with owls being her favorite find.

Cynthia had a warm, infectious smile.   She made friends easily and never met a stranger.   She was a constant spectator at her nephews and granddaughters sporting events.   One of her greatest gifts to others was the sending of kind words through cards.   Just knowing her message brought a smile to their face brought joy to her own life.

Cynthia Marie Bromley, age 61, of Monroe passed away at 4:55am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Fountainview of Monroe. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by two brothers: Harold and Dale Boudrie.

To cherish her memory, Cynthia leaves her beloved husband: Douglas A Bromley of Monroe; one daughter: Jessica (Jake) Adkins of West Virginia, one brother: John K. (Kerry) Boudrie of Monroe; two grandchildren: Julia and Lilly Adkins; two nephews: Derek and Ryan Boudrie; one niece: Jordan Campbell; and her four-legged companion: Maggie.
