Obituary of Sylvaysha Lenise Lee
Sylvaysha Lenise Lee was born on February 28, 1993 in Monroe, Michigan. She was born from the late Sylvain “Speedy” McClain and the late Krista Lee. Sylvaysha attended Monroe Public Schools but graduated from Osborne High School in 2011. She decided to further her education and attended Wayne State University in Detroit, where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Art’s in Communication.
Sylvaysha loved cooking and sharing her creations with her loved ones. She loved to travel and would write poetry to share her softer side. Known by all of her friends and family as “Vaysha” or “Sweetie” she was quite creative.
Most important to Sylvaysha was her relationship with her Lord and Savior. She was an avid member of New St. Lazarus Baptist Church where she made many lasting friendships. Even with her own hardships, Sylvaysha always put others before herself.
Sylvaysha, age 25 of Taylor, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her home. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather: Maurice Lynn.
To cherish her memory, Sylvaysha leaves her two sisters: Meisha Lee and Christina Lee-Oliver both of Monroe; her maternal grandparents: Patricia Lee Shaw and Thomas Ellison; her paternal grandmother: Patricia McClain; her Paw Paw: Nathaniel Coleman; three uncles: Marc Shaw, Je’remy McClain and Nathan McClain; an uncle (Dad) Maurice McClain; three aunts: Ariana McClain, Arlinda Lee and Janel Lynn; her nephew: Liem Adkins and many extended family members and friends.
Friends may gather from 11:00am until a Celebration of Her Life at 2:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185 on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 with Reverend Dr. Marion Myers officiating from New St. Lazarus Baptist Church.
