Obituary of Victoria L Stininger

Victoria L. Stininger was born on May 4, 1946 in Torrington, Connecticut. She was one of two daughters born from the union of her parents: the late Nicholas Pedersen and the late Leona (Lewis) Pedersen. She attended Avondale High School and graduated with the class of 1964. She decided to further her education and attended Augustana College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree.

Victoria was blessed with three beautiful sons and she worked for many years at Ryder Logistics as an event coordinator to support her growing family. She married her best friend and the love of her life, Gary Stininger, on December 11, 2001 and together they joined their families. She and her husband were lifetime Auxillary members to the Monroe Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

She had an artistic side to her and spent countless hours drawing and painting with oils and watercolors. She was always so proud of the work she completed and shared them with those closest to her. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her family visiting many places included New York City and the Allegheny Mountains. One of her favorite things to do included going to the casino to test her luck to see if she could win big, Hollywood Casinos in Lawrenceburg, Indiana being one of her favorite places to gamble.

Above anything, Victoria loved her family. She enjoyed time spent with her husband, children and sister and cherished the memories made with each and every one of them. Her kind, loving personality are just a few of the many things that will be missed by those who knew her.

Victoria L. Stininger, age 72 of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Her passing is preceded by her parents.
