In 1977, Sandy married Michael Pickett and the couple was blessed with the birth of three children: Nicole, Thomas, and Sarah. The young family lived for several years in Louisiana before coming back to Michigan. Michael and Sandy would divorce and later in life, Sandy would meet Gerald Mark Windels. They had a special bond and joined their blended family together being married on December 29, 2014. For nineteen years, Sandra worked hard as a sales associate for the Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement stores. She retired in 2018.
More than anything in life, Sandy enjoyed spending time with family. She was especially fond of her seven grandchildren. Sandra was strong-willed and outgoing. Always a joy to be around, she could be counted on to be there in time of need. She was a dear friend, a confidant to many, always accepting of those she believed in.
