Obituary of Sharon Marie Moore

Sharon Marie York was born on October 27, 1954 in Monroe, Michigan.   She was one of four daughters born from the union of Charles Ray York and Eulean Addie (Ellison) York.   Sharon met and was married to the love of her life: Lawrence E. Moore Jr. on October 23, 1971 at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church.   The Moore’s were blessed with two children:  Lisa and Chad.

For many years, Sharon worked in the health care field as a Service Technician, but more than anything she enjoyed the simple things in life.   She cherished the time she spent with her children and sisters.   Sharon loved to eat out at local establishments and especially enjoyed shopping.

In her free time she loved to unwind by watching the Hallmark Channel in the comfort of her home or getting lost in a book as she loved to read.  Sharon made an everlasting impression on those around her with her sweet nature, quiet disposition, and loving personality.

Sharon Marie Moore, age 64, of Monroe passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton.   Her passing was preceded by her parents and her beloved husband of forty years: Lawrence E. Moore, Jr. on September 22, 2011.

To cherish her memory, Sharon leaves her daughter:  Lisa Moore of Monroe; her son:  Chad Edward Moore; three sisters:  Monica (Michael) Moore, Delana (Paul) Gessner, and Tammy (Steve) Miller.

Friends may gather on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.   A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 6:00pm also at Merkle’s with Joshua Lewis of Redeemer Fellowship Church officiating.   A private inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date.
