She worked for a short time with Kresges, Famous Fried Chicken and Kroger before taking employment through Fashion bug where she worked as store manager for over twenty years.
Myra married the love of her life, Billie Deaton on June 20, 1969 at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. From this union came the birth of two children who she loved dearly. Myra worked hard to care for her family and ensured they were well taken care of. Spending time with family, especially around the Holiday’s meant the most to her.
