Joyce Miller

Obituary of Joyce Marie Miller

Joyce Marie Richards was born on June 6, 1961 in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Willie Richards and the late Katie Mae Dafney. Joyce received her education by attending Monroe High School until she decided to obtain her GED.

Joyce met and married the love of her life: Mark Miller on August 16, 1986 and together they decided to raise a family of their own. She worked hard to support her family by fulfilling her duties as a housewife. Joyce always made sure her family was well taken care of.

In her younger years, she enjoyed visiting the Fox Club downtown Monroe where she spent countless hours dancing and enjoying the company of others.  Joyce was always up for a good time and her vibrant and loving spirit ensured her one.

Joyce loved date nights with her husband where, together, they went to play Bingo and wouldn’t miss an opportunity to engage in a little friendly competition. In her free time, she enjoyed watching movies, especially her favorites:  any and all of the Madea movies. Joyce also loved the thrill of purchasing and scratching off lottery tickets in the hopes of winning big.

Above anything, Joyce loved her family. She cherished time spent with her children, sisters, family and friends. She will be forever missed by everyone who knew her.
