Dorothy Marie Mullins was born in Dearborn, Michigan on March 21, 1937. She was one of two daughters from the union of Libra (DeAngelo) Santogrossi and the late Francisco Santogrossi. Dorothy attended Fordson High School. She married the love of her life on October 31, 1959 at the Church of the Master in Detroit. Dorothy helped support her family working as a Receptionist for Ford Motor Company and DTE. She also owned a Molly Maid Service franchise for seven years. Dorothy was a great Italian cook and loved to entertain her family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them. Dorothy was a Tapestry Artist who had won a couple blue ribbons for her lace work. She was active at the Garden Club in Carleton and made flower arrangements for "Thru the Garden Gate". Dorothy Marie Mullins, age 76 of Carleton passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She is preceded by her father: Francisco Santogrossi. To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years: Samuel F. Mullins; her mother: Libra Santogrossi; one daughter: Pamela (Christopher) Donato of Richmond; four sons: Samuel F. Mullins Jr. of Taylor, Randall (Lisa) Mullins of Troy, Gregory Mullins of Dexter, and Douglas (Emily) Mullins of Blissfield; one sister: Bernadine Mullins of South Lyon; and seventeen grandchildren: Samuel F. Mullins III, Nicholas Mullins, Justin Mullins, Colleen Mullins, Aaron Mullins, Kristie Mullins, Adam Mullins, Natalie Mullins, Joslyn Mullins, Christopher Donato III., Kyle Donato, Eric Donato, Madeline Mullins, Cassidy Mullins, Andrew Mullins, Jason Mullins, and Nathan Mullins. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 3, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Monroe.
