Obituary of Rose Marie Smith

Rose Marie Smith was born on February 28, 1963 in North Carolina. She was one of three children born from the union of her parents: the late Jim Smith and the late Brenda (Sadler) Smith. She received her education by attending school at Dundee High School and graduated with the class of 1981. To support her family, Rose worked many years at Mason Consolidated Schools as a Computer Aide.

Rose was a social butterfly and enjoyed having a good time. She could always be described as “the life of the party.” She always took great care of her home, always changing things around and finding the perfect place for her home decorations. She loved decorating for the holidays as there was never a bare spot in her home.

In her free time, she enjoyed relaxing in front of the television watching her favorite cooking shows. She was always up to the task at hand to prepare the meals she watched in the comfort of her own home.

Rose Marie Smith, age 55, of South Rockwood, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 unexpectedly in her home. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Jessica Ravary and her parents.

To cherish her memory, Rose leaves her two daughters: Samantha Heusman and Jordan Ravary; her brothers: Jimmy (Marie) Smith, Jr. and Douglas (Gretjen) Smith; her grandchildren: Nico Brennan Ravary and Camden Ravary, her former husband: Dave Ravary and many extended family members and friends.

Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2:00 until a Celebration of Her Life at 4:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, (734)384-5185 to be officiated by Pastor Roy Southerland from Monroe Missionary Baptist Church.
