Obituary of Michael Wade O'Neal

Michael Wade O’Neal was born on August 8, 1962 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of five children born from the union of Edward Michael O’Neal and the late Kathleen Delores (Worrell) O’Neal.   He was raised in a Christian home and was blessed to develop his own personal relationship with his Savior. Michael attended Monroe Public Schools.

For several years, Michael worked as a custodian for NorthStar Steel, but more than anything he valued his relationship with his family.   Michael had a special bond with his parents and sisters and brother they shared many happy memories together.

Michael also enjoyed spending time with friends and going out to eat with his neighbor quite often.   He enjoyed watching Ministry TV and spending time with his four-legged companion Serena.

Michael had an ear for music and would often jam to his favorite Rock ‘n Roll and hard rock bands, one of his favorites being UFO. Michael had a great sense of humor and he was quite the entertainer.   In his younger years, he loved to hang out with and go to concerts with his friends and he would play the “air guitar” like his life depended on it.

Michael Wade O’Neal, age 56 of Monroe, passed away at 3:30pm on Saturday, September 28, 2018 at Medilodge in Monroe.   He had been under the care of Grace Hospice. His passing was preceded by his mother: Kathleen on October 25, 2011

To cherish his memory, Michael leaves his father: Edward Michael O’Neal of Monroe; three sisters: Becky (David) Wylie of Monroe, Colleen (Jackie)Allen of Monroe, and Peggy (Mitch) Hendrien of Monroe; one brother:  Jeffery O’Neal of Monroe; two best friends: Chris Thomas and Jeff England both of Monroe; and many nieces; nephews; extended family members; and friends.

A luncheon/home going celebration is planned for November the 3rd at willow green club house Monroe Mi.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
