Obituary of Anna Mae Heisler
Anna Mae Sherrard was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on January 23, 1949. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late Harold Duane Sherrard and the late Dorotha Ann (VanWinkle) Sherrard. Anna married the love of her life the late David Allen Heisler on November 4, 1972 at St. John Lutheran Church. From this union came the birth of one daughter: Jaclyn.
For more than twenty years she worked as the Manager for the Perky Pantry. It was here that she developed many lifelong relationships. In 1985, Anna earned her diploma from Dundee Community Schools after attending night school. Anna was well-known for her sarcasm and humor. She handled life and any challenge straight on, and she was never afraid to speak her mind.
Anna enjoyed cooking. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and often made treats for them earning her the nickname “Cookie Grandma”. Anna loved playing cards and working on ceramics. In her free time she found great relaxation in completing oil paintings, and she was quite the talented landscape painter.
