Obituary of Paul Hugo Arendt

Paul Hugo Arendt was born on August 27, 1945 in Monroe, Michigan.   He was the son of the late Hugo John Arendt and the late Evelyn Anne (Haemker) Arendt.

Paul passed away peacefully on May 25, 2018 at his home in Detroit after a long illness.   Michael Smith his marriage partner was at his side.   In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by his stepfather:  Kenneth Trouten; a brother:  Harold H. Arendt; a stepbrother:  Wayne Trouten; and a life-long friend Ron Mahalich.

To cherish his memory he leaves a sister:  Marilyn Anne (Arendt) and Larry Ohelde of Kansas, sisters-in-law:  Mary (Carl) Arendt, Barbara (Meyer) Trouten Boss, stepbrother:  Ollie and Karen (Sanglier) Trouten; and many nieces and nephews.  

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service and inurnment at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at LaSalle Township Cemetery with Reverend Ben Walker officiating.   Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 assisted the family with local arrangements.
