Donald "Bub" Ross Jr.

Obituary of Donald "Bub" Ross Jr.

Donald “Bub” Edward Joseph Ross Jr., was born on January 7, 2014 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Donald Edward Joseph Ross Sr. and Jocelyn Maryjune O’Harrow.    Bub was privileged to have his stepfather:  Jeffery Smith Jr. to help raise him.

Bub had a smile that would light up any room.   He loved everyone and was always happy.   Besides being very close to his brother, he was very attached to his step-father, Jeff.   Bub and Jeff were an inseparable pair going everywhere together.   He also loved to go swimming whenever he could, as well as playing nerf guns with all of his uncles.   Bub loved to be outside playing in the yard or working in the garden.  He especially loved to visit and stay with his aunts:  T.T. and Angie.

In his short life, Bub touched everyone who knew him. His eternal optimism will always be remembered and cherished. Bub also had a gift of knowing how to keep all of his uncles in line, something that others only dreamed of.

Donald “Bub” Edward Joseph Ross Jr. of Monroe passed away in a house fire in the early morning hours of August 11, 2018 in Lincoln Park.   Also passing in the fire were his aunts T.T. and Angie and four pets.

To cherish his memory, Bub leaves his father: Donald Edward Ross Sr; his mother: Jocelyn Maryjune O’Harrow and stepfather:  Jeffrey Smith Jr.; his grandparents: Dennis Busenbark Jr. and Michelle O’Harrow, and Neal and Stacy Keck, Jeffery Smith Sr. and Debbie Sharp, and Terry and Jerry Mason, Sonnie Ross; his brother: Jeffery Allen Smith III; his uncles: Joey (Brittany) O’Harrow of Monroe, Alen Wandt of Monroe, Anthony Busenbark of Kentucky, Dennis Busenbark III (Melissa) of Monroe, Isaiah Busenbark of Monroe, Robert Smith (Becky) of Flat Rock, Kevin (Beth) Zimmerman Jr. of Toledo, Karl (Stephanie) Zimmerman of Chicopee, MA, Randy (Nicole) Ross of Toledo; his aunts: Megan Busenbark (Zach White) of Monroe, Amanda Williamson of Flat Rock, Jennifer (Katie) Smith of Taylor, Ashley (Darrell) Sharp of Flat Rock and many friends and relatives.
