Obituary of Pearl Catherine Kleinow
Pearl Catherine Kleinow was born on January 29, 1930 in Wyandotte, Michigan. One of four children, she was the only daughter born from the union of the late George Kleinow Sr. and the late Della (Gilstorff) Kleinow. Pearl attended Airport High School graduating in 1948.
For many years Pearl made her home in Adrian while working as a cashier at Kroger (Great Scott) for over thirty-five years. Her choice of occupation served her personality well as she enjoyed striking up conversations in order to meet new people and never let anyone feel like a stranger. She made many life long friends from her interactions. After retirement Pearl relocated to the great north in a lake home built by her father.
Pearl by nature was loving, especially to her family and had a special place for in her heart for her four legged companion, Freddie.
In her younger years, Pearl was a phenomenal bowler. She enjoyed crocheting and giving handmade blankets to family and friends for special occasions. Pearl loved baking and tending to her garden and yard making sure it was groomed and insuring that the flowers were full and beautiful.
