Joan "JoAnn" Queen

Obituary of Joan "JoAnn" Barbara Queen

Joan Barbara Siffer was born in Monroe, Michigan on May 13, 1935.   She was the daughter of the late John Siffer and the late Bernice (Schrader) Siffer.

She married Ronald Queen, together raising five children and a granddaughter, Jody Queen as their own.   For many years, JoAnn was employed as a cook for the Dixie Restaurant.   She made many friends and always enjoyed the company of others.  JoAnn regularly attended bingo with her daughter, granddaughter and girlfriends and played cards often with her sons and daughter-in-law, especially poker. She truly cherished her time with her grandchildren. Some of JoAnn’s favorite times were just spent in the company of her family.

JoAnn and Ronald enjoyed traveling together.  She loved being outdoors with Mother Nature camping, gardening, and fishing when she had the chance. JoAnn enjoyed the art of ceramics in her spare time. She spent exactly twenty-one years waiting to see her husband and could not wait any longer to see him again.
