Obituary of Daniel Keith Standridge

Daniel Keith Standridge was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1975.   He was the son of Brenda (Standridge) Scaggs and raised from the age of three by his stepfather:  Todd Scaggs.   Daniel attended Erie Mason High School where he lettered in track.   He graduated with the Class of 1993.

Daniel was a jack of many trades.   With various skills he lent his gifts to several employers through a variety of jobs.   Daniel loved to be outside, and with a love for landscaping, he was always willing to give a helping hand to others especially family around their yards.   Most recently, Daniel was a self-employed repairman in the pool industry.

Daniel valued his Christian faith and was extremely generous with a kind heart.

Daniel Keith Standridge, age 42, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2018.   His passing was preceded by his maternal grandparents Marvin and Bonnie Standridge.

To cherish his memory he leaves his parents:  Brenda and Todd Scaggs of Tullahoma, Tennessee; a brother:  Joseph Standridge (Stephanie Rugila) of LaSalle; and a niece:  Alissa.

Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070.   A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s.  Private inurnment will take place at LaSalle Township Cemetery at a later date.
