Obituary of Sharon Lee Noble-Hatfield
Sharon Lee Rehfuss was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 3, 1935. She was one of three daughters born to the late Francis and Elanore (Diedrich) Rehfuss. She graduated in 1952 from Monroe High School.
Sharon married Raymond Noble on January 3, 1953 and from this union came the birth of six children. She cared for the needs of her children as a homemaker for many years, and also worked in Respite Care for Home, Inc and as a Teacher’s Aide for Monroe County ISD. The Noble Family also operated Ray’s Septic Tank Service in the 1950’s and Noble Ambulance Service in the 1970’s.
Sharon loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She enjoyed staying active. For many years she was involved with a Civil War Enactment group. Here is where she would meet her future husband: Bill Hatfield in January of 1989. The couple was joined in marriage on November 1, 2005.
Sharon was a past member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed crafts, and dancing, and playing solitaire. She is a member of The Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Monroe.
Sharon, age 83, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a son: Gene; daughter: Connie; Sister: Judy; Aunt Ann Smith; stepson: Tim Hatfield; and grandson: Noel Noble.
To cherish her memory she leaves her husband: Bill; four children: Gary L. Noble, Gerry L. Noble, Candy Noble, and Raymond Noble Jr. (Misty Rojem); stepdaughters: Sherry Cochenour and Jennifer (Alan) Miller; a sister: Carole Keeton; special cousin: Kathy Paige Harlow; sisters-in-law: Ethal Powers and Georgia (Dale) Provoast; sixteen grandchildren: Stephanie, Sarah (Devon), Shannon, Mandy (Will), Heather (Shane), Katie (Josh), Wayne, Stacy, Jonathon, Raymond III, Drake, Patrick, Hannah, Steven, Cheyenne, Gregory (Deana); eighteen great grandchildren: Nicholas, Ethan, Marle, Briar, Aiden, Haylee, Jayden, Greyson, Hadlee, Olivia, Cole, Emmalee, Grace, Henry, Jaxson, Sophia, Layla, and Gregory.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Merkle Funeral Service; South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 19, 2018 also at Merkle’s. Private inurnment will take place at Roselawn at a later date.
