Obituary of Ann Marie Plummer
Ann Marie Plummer was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 23, 1961. She was one of two daughters born from the union of the late Altimont Augustus Plummer and the late Cynthia “Rose” (Green) Plummer.
Ann and her family moved to Monroe in 1972 and she graduated from Monroe High School in 1979. Ann decided to further her education by attending classes at Monroe Community College. For more than twenty years, Ann worked as a certified nursing assistant for multiple facilities.
Family always came first to her and she loved and supported her two children. As her family grew, so did her love and support for them all. She loved to entertain and was known by all as “Grandma Marie”. Ann loved spending time with all of her loved ones. She was also very hard working and strong-willed, yet at the same time, open-minded, accepting and non-judgmental.
She enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing and tending to her garden. She also volunteered for several support groups in the community. Ann also loved animals and her feline and canine companions Avatar, Caino and Tinkerbell. She is remembered by her family for her outgoing personality as well as her deep sense of care and generosity. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her
