Jerald Chastain

Obituary of Jerald Thomas Chastain

Jerald Thomas Chastain was born on August 24, 1960 in Twentynine Palms, California. He was one of five children born from his parents: the late Robert Chastain and the late Margaret (Schmehorne) Chastain. After graduating high school, Jerald decided to enlist in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1978.

After proudly serving his country, he continued his education by attending college at Northwest State and Monroe County Community College and received multiple certifications. To support his family, he worked hard for 25 years at Automatic Handling as an electrician.

Jerald was a natural comedian who loved to make people laugh. His main mission in life was to have a good time and he was always the life of the party. He enjoyed cooking, traveling the world and going camping with his family. He spent time outdoors on his four-wheeler and was humbled to teach his children to do donuts on them.

He was an avid KISS fan who loved listening to their music and watching all their crazy antics. Above anything, Jerald loved his family, including his puppy “Angel.” He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by many.

Jerald Thomas Chastain, age 57, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. His passing is preceded by his granddaughter: Kiara Chastain; his sister: Connie Heldebrandt; his brother: Robert Chastain and his parents.
