Frances Miller

Obituary of Frances Coral Miller

Frances Coral Leonard was born on December 28, 1928 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Frank Leonard and the late Ada (Parish) Leonard. She worked hard to care for her family as the custodian of Airport High School for over eighteen years before retiring.

Frances received her spiritual nourishment from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waltz, where she was a proud member since the fifty’s. There, she married the love of her life, Earl Miller on May 23, 1949. From this union came the birth of their four beautiful children. She stayed active in the church and participated in the Ladies Aid.

Frances was very involved with her community. She spent time at the Carleton VFW Hall playing Bingo and attending Senior night every Monday. She liked watching her Detroit Tiger’s play and would take casino trips downtown often. Her family meant the most to her and spending time with her grandchildren was always cherished. Frances held most family gatherings at her home, always looking forward to Christmas, as it was her favorite time of year.

Frances Coral Miller, age 89 of Carleton passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-eight years: Earl Miller; two sons: Leonard Miller and John Miller; her three sisters: Erma, Betty and Lila; and her brother: Donald.
