Obituary of Jared Alexander McKeone
Jared Alexander McKeone was born December 25, 1989 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the youngest of four children but the largest of twin boys born from the union of Bob and Terrie (Minton) McKeone. He grew up in a loving, Christian home and received his spiritual nourishment at the North Monroe Street Church of God. Jared attended Monroe High School with the Class of 2008.
Shortly after high school, Jared left home to make his own way. He worked for several different fast food establishments, and the TA Truck Stop. Jared had also been employed several years at Meijer Warehouse.
At 6’4” his size could be intimidating, but his beautiful soul shown through with his gentle personality and warm smile. Jared was very loving and outgoing. He made friends easily and in fact had no enemies. He was sensitive and had a tender heart.
Jared cared deeply for his family, he loved to spend time with all of them. He adored his nieces and they were just as fond of him. Jared was a music aficionado with eclectic taste. He loved to attend concerts.
Jared Alexander McKeone, age 28, of Carleton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home. His passing was preceded by his paternal grandmother: Mary McKeone; maternal grandfathers: Milton Poupard and Dan Minton Sr.; an uncle: Dan Minton Jr.; and an aunt: Rhonda Minton.
To cherish his memory, Jared leaves his parents: Bob and Terrie McKeone of Carleton; his siblings: Michael (Megan) McKeone, Rachel McKeone and twin, Josh McKeone (Ashley Brazill) all of Monroe; maternal grandmother: Juanita Poupard of Monroe; paternal grandfather: Lawrence “Bob” McKeone of Samaria; four nieces: Riley, Emma, Brooke and Brianna McKeone; aunts and uncles: Douglas (Shelley) Minton, Jackie Cook, JoAnn (Patrick) Callahan, Kelly (Steve) Olexa, Shawn (Pat) Norton and Doug (Gina) McKeone; several close and loving cousins; special friends: Quinton McCormick and Aaron Stininger; and his four legged canine companion: Rocko.
Friends may gather on Thursday, April 19 from 2:00-8:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 20, also at Merkle’s with Pastor Rick Massingill officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn for burial.
