Obituary of Helen Frances Weyand
Helen Frances Glamuzina was born on April 6, 1932 in Duluth, Minnesota. She was born from the union of her parents: the late Matthew Glamuzina and the late Mildred Tourich. She received her education in Minnesota and graduated from Jefferson Adult Education.
Helen worked hard to support her family as a bar maid. She worked at many places including Ra-Jo’s Bar, LaSalle Bar and Nortel Lanes, where she worked for thirty years. She was an avid reader who would rarely be spotted without a book. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, watching her beloved TIGERS play and cooking. She was known for her homemade french-fries, which were considered the best around.
Known by her family as “Bubba”, she had a kind soul and enjoyed making those around her laugh. Above anything, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandson and great grandchildren. “Bubba” was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Helen Frances Weyand, age 86, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Her passing is preceded by her brothers: John, Steve and Tony; her sisters: Monda, Ann, Matilda and Rose; and her parents.
