Obituary of Andrew David Funk
Andrew David Funk was born on November 16, 1985. He was the youngest of two children born from the union of his parents. He attended school at Westland Christian Academy and graduated with the class of 2004.
His one of a kind personality and great sense of humor made it easy for him to make friends and he was always considered the life of the party by everyone who knew him. He loved the outdoors and looked forward to time spent hunting and fishing. Andrew enjoyed working with his hands both at work as a carpenter and around his home fixing things. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching games, especially football.
Above everything, Andrew loved being a father to his only daughter, Ava. He cherished spending time with her and watching her grow. He made his home with Tia Drouillard and her son, Jordan, whom he adored. Andrew was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by many.
Andrew David Funk, age 32, of Monroe, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. His passing is preceded by his maternal grandparents: Robert Sears and Connie Sears.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved daughter: Ava Funk; his parents: Susan Sears and John Braden; his sister: Katie Hyden; two nieces: Annalise and Everly Hyden; his paternal grandparents: Derek and Mary Funk; the mother of his daughter: Sara Slack and many extended family members and friends.
A private graveside service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe 48162 (734)384-5185.
