Obituary of Kathleen Lorraine Wendler
Kathleen Lorraine Lamb was born on September 29, 1950 in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was born from the union of the late Patrick Lamb and the late Gladys Lorraine (Gilson) Lamb. Kathleen was raised Catholic and moved to Monroe at a young age where she spent most of her life.
Kathleen Lorraine Wendler raised two sons on her own and worked hard to support her family as a nurse’s aide in the health field. She was a great mom and enjoyed watching her sons grow up. Nothing made her happier than to see them raise families of their own and bless her with grandsons.
Kathleen was very outgoing, as she was always doing something. Her day began with a visit to the local YMCA for her morning swimming class. She loved animals, especially dogs, and had many granddogs to love and care for including Star, Pixie and Ike. She was good in the kitchen and was known for pulling together a meal with whatever she had.
Kathleen Lorraine Wendler passed away on November 29, 2017 at 8:20pm at Promedica Monroe Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents: Patrick and Gladys Lamb and her sisters: Leanne, Patty and Gloria.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her sons: Kenneth Wendler and David (Stephanie Dover) Wendler; her grandsons: Rodney Wendler, Kyle Wendler, Nick Wendler and Billy Wendler; her sister: Janice (Mark) Cook and many extended family members and friends.
