Vivian Lee Weinstein was born September 13, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Harold Weinstein and the late Theresa (Karas) Weinstein. She attended Jefferson Schools.
Vivian married William Yount on November 19, 1970 in Monroe, Michigan. From this union came four beloved children: Vicki Yount of Monroe, Michael (Renee) Yount of Newport, Steven (Rhoda) Yount of Estral Beach, and Mark (Sandy) Yount of Maybee.
Vivian had a passion for life and a smile that could warm the room. Her chosen profession was that of a homemaker. She took the responsibility of being a mom and raising her family very seriously. Vivian also was blessed with the birth of nine grandchildren: Christina, Joshua, Brian, Samantha, Michael II, Clayton, Kyle, Blake, and Morgan. She treasured the time she spent with each of her grandchildren. Vivian also had a special dog a Maltese named Monique with whom she shared a loving relationship.
Music always played a roll in Vivian's life her favorite artists varied but Rock and Roll was her favorite genre. Vivian also loved to collect trinkets, and her home became a testament to her many varied interests. She enjoyed making beautiful beaded jewelry which she often gave to those she loved. Keeping a beautiful garden complete with daisies was another of her pastimes.
Vivian shared memories with her father: Harold of Brooklyn; five sisters: Darlene (Raymond) Wall of Newport, Monica Lauderdale of Brooklyn, Susie (Ron) Belman of Norvell, Nancy (Frank) Kominek of Carleton, Judy (Aaron) Crawford of Columbus; two brothers: Harold (Connie) Weinstein of Temperance and Darryl (Lori) Weinstein of Dundee; twenty-two nieces and nephews and many, many great nieces and nephews.
Vivian Lee Yount age 56, passed away peacefully at 11:00am, Sunday; December 28, 2008 in her Newport home. Her loving family was at her side. Vivian and her family had been under the care and direction of Mercy Memorial Hospice. Her passing was preceded by her mother Theresa in 2007.
Friends may gather from 1:00pm until a Celebration of Her Life at 5:00pm, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services, Livonia.
