Ray Eads

Obituary of Ray Hicks Eads

Ray Hicks Eads was born on December 29, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. He is one of three sons born from the union of Ray Walls and Barbara Eads. Ray moved from Detroit with his family and has lived in Monroe for the last 21 years.

Ray was not a man of many words. He preferred the peace and quiet and would often come off as being very shy. He enjoyed being by the open water and loved to go fishing with his friend Brian. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and would often go visit his friends at Crossroads in Monroe. He enjoyed their company as much as they enjoyed his. He always enjoyed his trips to Walmart so he can spend time rummaging through the store for the next big item he could buy. One thing Ray loved to do was eat, especially fast food. He also liked listening to all types of music, never having just one favorite genre.

Ray Hicks Eads, age 41 of Monroe, passed away at Promedica Monroe Skilled Nursing and Rehab on November 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. His passing was preceded by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandparents.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his parents: Ray Walls and Barbara Eads of Monroe, his two brothers: Jimmy (Schalaunda) Eads of Monroe and Robert (Amanda) Eads of Monroe; his three year old niece Anna and many extended family members and friends.
