Obituary of Lenae Wing

Lenae Marie Wing was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 22, 1981. She was one of two children born from the union of Paul and Donna (Agler) Wing. Lenae attended Jefferson High School and later earned her GED. Lenae was a free spirit. She was full of life and always on the go. Family was always important to Lenae. She loved her daughter, Shelbie more than anything in this world, and cherished everything they did together. Shelbie and Lenae love to go rollerskating. Lenae loved to feel the wind in her face. She enjoyed riding on the back of a Harley and recently, she had visited Cedar Point with Shelbie and together they had a hoot on the roller coasters. She was also a well-loved aunt to her niece and nephews, and a beloved daughter and sister. Although, Lenae was quite the "lover" she could often be quite head strong, but of course this was all just part of her charm. Lenae Marie Wing age 31 a lifelong Monroe resident passed away at 5:50pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Her passing was preceded Rocky Payton, Shelbie's father on November 11, 2008. Shelbie has always referred to the big star in the sky as being her daddy, and now she will be looking for a new star for her mommy. To cherish her memory she leaves her daughter: Shelbie Payton of Monroe; her parents: Paul and Donna Wing of Monroe; her maternal grandmother: Harriet Agler of Monroe; one sister: Jennifer (Tim) Schmidt of Liberty Lake, Washington; one maternal aunt: Joann (Charlie) Checker of Monroe; one niece: Meaghan Schmidt; and two nephews: Timothy Schmidt and Cory "Skinner" Schmidt. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. A Private Memorial Service is being planned in the near future. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with her arrangements. The family would like to propose a special thank you to Tab for being there for Lenae.
