Anne Marie Bodi was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 25, 1950. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Andrew Bodi and the late Lois (Neal) Bodi. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1968. Anne was married to Ronald Taylor from 1972 until 1986. She then married Thomas Maxwell in 1996. Anne had worked for several employers as a cook throughout the years. For more than twelve years she was employed by Nortel Lanes retiring in 2001. Anne was a good Christian woman of incredible faith. She enjoyed reading her Bible and she had been a longtime member of the Eagle's Nest Community Church. She was extremely compassionate towards others and she loved to lend a helping hand. Her favorite pastimes included sewing and cooking. Anne's love for cooking often led her to share with friends, family, and even the neighbors. She was especially proud of and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Anne Marie Maxwell age 60 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at 8:53am,Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in the Emergency Department of Mercy Memorial Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Thomas E. Maxwell of Monroe; three daughters: Shelly Taylor (John Boyle)of Monroe, Sherry Taylor of Monroe, and Sheila (Rodney) Gilliam of Monroe; two stepchildren: Adam Maxwell and Rachel Maxwell both of Monroe; one sister: Sheila (Roger) Lambert of Monroe; three brothers: Andrew (Linda) Bodi, James (Dora) Bodi, and Robert Bodi all of Monroe; six wonderful grandchildren: Alustrial, Ehlana, and Isaac Owens, Davin Howard, and Lucy and Hiram Gilliam; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather from 1:00pm until 8:00pm, Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00am with the Rev. Louie Barnett pastor of Eagle's Nest Community Church officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family.
