Beverly Dines

Obituary of Beverly Kay Dines

Beverly Kay Navarre was born on February 14, 1935 in Monroe, Michigan. She was born from the union of Elmer Navarre and Minnie (Butler) Navarre. Beverly attended Monroe High School graduating with the class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Donald “Scrooge” Dines, on August 6, 1955 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and began a wonderful life together.

Beverly began her career in the mail room at the Lay-Z-Boy Headquarters in Monroe.   She would work her way to being Supervisor and retired in 1994 after twenty-eight years of service. After her retirement, she continued employment at Norman Towers as a receptionist in Monroe.

Time spent with family meant the most to Beverly. Her children, grandbabies, and great grandbabies were her world. Beverly was considered a people person and was always friendly towards everyone. During her Saturday shopping jaunts to Walmart she scoured the store in search of the best deals.

Beverly was very active in her younger years. She coached softball for many years and always enjoyed her League Bowling. She never lost her love for sports. She was a true Michigan Wolverines Fan and nothing would get in the way of her watching them play. She loved being outdoors and spent that time camping, deer hunting and even shooting her gun at the local gun club.
