Pamela Anne Brewer
May 13, 1951—November 1, 2012
Pamela Anne Brewer was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on May 13, 1951. She was the daughter of K.D. Brewer and the late Joan (Stickler) Brewer. Pam earned her Associate of Nursing Degree through Riverside Nursing School where she proudly remained an alumni.
Pam was a caretaker through and through. Her career as a nurse would span more than thirty-two years taking a medical retirement in 2000. Pam studied in Akron for children's burns and helped to start a portable burn unit at the University of Wisconsin. She also received additional training in long-term care and home healthcare. Pam was employed with Mercy Memorial Hospital and Riverside Hospital of Toledo each for ten years. Pam also worked at MIRO now known as 21st Century Cancer Clinic as a head nurse and manager. She had served as head nurse at Alice Lorraine Care Center upon their opening.
In 1995 she married Russell Ravary.
Pam enjoyed collecting different items, and she was a "pack rat" of sorts, although she lived in organized chaos. She enjoyed writing poetry and reading. Pam liked to put the needs of others first, even strangers. While residing at Creekside Village, Pam enjoyed "nursing" others; including giving them bluebirds as a sign of peace, and participating in Bingo, Bible Study, and the Dinner and Lunch Clubs. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, her self-proclaimed pride and joy.
