Terry James Watterworth was born on November 2, 1952 in Pigeon, Michigan. He was the son of the late Eugene Watterworth and Phyllis (Carolan) Connors. Terry was a 1970 graduate of Caseville High School. He served his country proudly and honorably as a member of the United States Army from August 25, 1970 until July 10, 1972 during the Vietnam Conflict. Terry married the love of his life the former: Jennifer Osborne on May 10, 1980 in Newport, Michigan. From this union came the birth of two children: Casey and Rebecca. Terry supported his family with employment for more than eleven years at Northstar Steel. He then spent twenty years as a millwright for the Ford Motor Company. Terry loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He cherished the time he spent with his family; and had passed his love of the outdoors to his son: Casey. He was looking forward to doing the same with his grandson: Connor. Terry was a member of the Wounded Woodpecker Gun Club and the American Legion. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Terry James Watterworth, age 59, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:25am at his home. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by his step-father: Wallace "Skip" Connors; his step-brother Pat O'Connor; and a sister-in-law: Darlene Watterworth. To cherish his memory he leaves his wife: Jennifer Watterworth of Monroe; a son: Casey (Kristina) Watterworth of Monroe; a daughter: Rebecca Watterworth of Denver, Colorado; two sisters: Toni Watterworth of Clio and Cindy (Bill) Striplin of Roswell, Georgia; three brothers: Larry Watterworth of Okemos, Dan (Debbie) Watterworth of Lapeer, and Jerry Watterworth (Larry Kranz) of Scottsdale, Arizona; one step brother: "Mick" (Lynn) Connors of Caseville; one step sister: Colleen (Paul) Poisson of Caseville; and one grandson: Connor Watterworth of Monroe. He will lie in state from 9:00am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at St. Mary Parish, 127 North Monroe Street. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Cancer Connection at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
