Obituary of Roger Eugene Williamson

Roger Eugene Williamson was born on January 1, 1964 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of three children born from the union of Kyle Eugene Williamson and Florence Marie (Ridner) Williamson.

Roger was a simple and happy man.   He enjoyed the little things in life such as doing crafts, etching glass art work, and enjoyed going to the park.   Roger had several favorite television shows he enjoyed watching, and he always vegged on his favorite snacks while doing so.   His preferred treats were:  potato chips, candy bars, and soda pop.   America’s favorite pastime was also Rogers’s as he was passionate about playing and watching baseball.

For several years he had worked as a laborer for Comprehensive Services for the Developmentally Disabled in Monroe.

Roger Eugene Williamson, age 53, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 7, 2017 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother: Florence Williamson.    

To cherish his memory, Roger leaves his beloved father:  Kyle Williamson of Monroe; his two sisters:  Malinda Williamson of Monroe and Yvonne (Patrick) Flynn of Newport; his two nieces: Ann Marie Simpson and Violet Nicole Simpson both of Monroe; and his nephew Patrick Flynn Jr. of Monroe.

Friends may gather on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service; South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070.   Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park where graveside services will take place.
