Obituary of William Boudrie

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William Robert Boudrie was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 22, 1944. He was the son of the late Donald and Betty (Richardville) Boudrie and the stepson of Shirley (Barton) Boudrie. Bill was considered a miracle due to a life threatening disease he developed as a young child. He persevered and went on to become a father and a grandfather. He had come to learn over the years just how much he loved his daughter and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, especially his Aunt Joanne who took care of him in the absence of his parents. Bill spent many years in Paris, Tennessee prior to settling in Monroe in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the Motorcycle Club of America and was a huge Harley Davidson fan. He loved to travel and had aspirations to travel to Alaska and Hawaii. Consequently, he did make it to Alaska, and he fell in love with the land while he visiting the state. Bill was fondly given several nicknames over the years. His motorcycle family referred to him as "Flea" and he carried the CB handle, "Goober". Whatever name he may have been called, Bill was a man of courage from beginning to end. William Robert Boudrie age 67 of Monroe passed away at 9:40am on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He has been under the care of his loving family and of Mercy Memorial Hospice. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by his brother: John Charles Boudrie and his adopted grandfather: Marshall Essary; two nieces: Lisa and Teresa Boudrie and one nephew: Alfred Busembark. To cherish his memory he leaves his daughter: Kim (David) Stewart of Puryear, Tennessee; two brothers: Donald (LaWanda) Boudrie Jr. of Missouri; David (Rose) Boudrie of Monroe; six sisters: Joann Wilkens of Kentucky, Betty Rehahm of Michigan, Lorrain (David) Young of Michigan, Rebecca Huff of Michigan, Teresa (Paul) Cooper of Michigan and LeAnn (Monnie) Holt of Michigan; two grandsons: David Stewart Jr. and Dakota Corbin and a granddaughter: Lexis Stewart; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
