Obituary of Louise Marie Klapec
Louise Marie Klapec was born on January 18, 1942 in Cain Store, Kentucky. She was the only child born from the union of the late Robert Leon Sumpter and the late Laura (Gholson) Sumpter. Louise was a 1959 graduate of St. Casimir High School in Detroit.
Louise married the love of her life, Ronald Klapec on February 17, 1962 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Detroit. From this union would come the birth of one son and three daughters. She helped support her family as a customer service representative at Comerica Bank for twenty-three years, retiring in 2002.
Louise loved her Lord and Savior and received her spiritual nourishment as a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Allen Park where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and adored the children in the nursery.
Louise was happy, generous and nurturing to all, those who knew her considered her a “true friend.” Family was most important to her, always looking forward to spending time with them.
In her quiet time, Louise could be found snuggled up reading just about anything including her favorite Danielle Steel novels.
Louise Marie Klapec, age 75, of Carleton passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Wellspring Lutheran Home. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her son: Donald Klapec.
