Clayton Lee Wilson, age 62, was called home by the Lord to be with his loved ones April 6 , 2016. He was the son of the late Reverend Charles Wilson and the late Alma (Turner ) Wilson.
Clayton married the love of his life, the late Barbara ( Taylor) Wilson on December 4 , 1976. Together they raised three children: Dain, Jeremy and Kathy all of Monroe.
Clayton was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, fishing and taking long rides in the country. He had a great love for country music.
Clayton is survived by his three children; twelve grandchildren; and six sisters: Mabel Kelly of Castalia , Ohio, Diane Cline of Panther , West Virginia, Gladys Mc Mullen, Inis Sharpe , Patsy Church , and Barbara Ditty, all of Monroe.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by: a son David Wilson; a brother: Sillis Wilson; and a sister Dixie Penner of Witchita , Kansas. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe, (734)384-5185.
