Marjorie Evelyn Eileen Morrin September 14, 1920—June 3, 2012 Marjorie Morrin was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 14, 1920. She was the daughter of Philip Wellesley and Linda (Sparrow) Carroll. She married Victor A Morrin February 19, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. After more than forty years of marriage he passed away on April 7, 1989. Marjorie graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. She then went on to attend the University of Toledo and the Tri-State Business College in Toledo, Ohio. She had been employed by the Toledo Retail Merchants Association, The Greater Toledo Chamber of Commerce, the S. H. Davis Paper Company, and the Toledo Scale Company. During WWII, Marjorie was employed by ANEPA. Marjorie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Anne Altar Society, and the Society's South West Unit. She had been a volunteer for the St. Joseph Elementary School and Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Michigan. While in her teens, she was Girl Vocalist with the Sonny Burke Orchestra and was also a member of the Sweet Adelines. Marjorie Evelyn Eileen Morrin passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012. In addition to her parents and her husband, her passing was preceded by two half-brothers: Rosco and Ralph; and one half-sister: Priscilla. To cherish her memory she leaves behind her daughter: Marianne (Paul) Zielinski of Toledo; three sons: Victor J. Morrin of Erie, Mark A. Morrin of Temperance, and Terry E. (Denise) Morrin of Erie; five grandchildren: Matthew Morrin of Erie, Whitney (Ben) Steyer of Tiffin, Carolyn Zielinski of Toledo, Shawn Morrin of Erie, and Laura Zielinski of Toledo; and two great-grandchildren: Bryce Morrin and Charlie Bleile-Morrin. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service Erie, 9156 Summit Street (734) 848-5185. She will lie in state from 10:00am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00am, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2214 Manhattan Street. Father Fred Kajal will officiate. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery for burial. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Grade School in Erie, the Diabetes Research Foundation in Washington D.C., or the charity of donor's choice.
