Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony "Tony" Samuel Cronenwett July 30, 1954 - May 30, 2012 Anthony Samuel Cronenwett was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 30, 1954. He was the son of the late Marvin "Bud" Cronenwett and Lois (Miller) Cronenwett. He attended Monroe High School and earned his GED. Later Anthony returned to school and obtained his welding certificate through Monroe County Community College. For more than twenty years, Anthony worked in the construction field as a mason. A union man to the core, Anthony was a member of the BAC Local 1. Anthony began a treasured relationship with his future wife in 1988. On Friday the thirteenth of November 1998 he married the former Sharon (Howard) Nolan. Anthony had a tedious attention to detail. This made him an excellent mason, and caused him to sometimes tear down entire walls to get it just right. His meticulous attention even led to mowing the lawn. Anthony was a kind, soft-hearted man who never knew a stranger. His love for others included furry feline friends as well. He often took in strays once having twenty-one cats, and worked with the Humane Society to keep them healthy. As a young man, Anthony loved to hunt and fish and was a former member of the Rod and Gun Club. His fishing earned him a trophy walleye in 1994. Anthony always wanted the best for his children and expected a lot out of them. He wanted them to excel and exceed. Anthony "Tony" Samuel Cronenwett, age 57 of Carleton, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. His passing was preceded by his father and a sister, Cheryl Cronenwett. To cherish his memory he leaves behind his beloved wife: Sharon; his mother: Lois Cronenwett of Monroe; three sons: Adam (Jennifer) of Florida, Jason of Monroe, and Wesley of Carleton; one sister: Linda (Jim) Ramsey; four brothers: Brian (Dodie) Cronenwett, David (Debbie) Smith, Randy Cronenwett, and Allen (Bonnie) Cronenwett; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania. Friends may gather from 10:00am until a memorial service celebrating his life at 11:00am, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Carleton Assembly of God, 12187 Grafton Road.
