Obituary of Jason Lee Bartel
Jason Lee Bartel was born In Trenton on May 26, 1979. He was the son of Roxanne Pugh and raised by stepfather: Gerry Louks. He attended high school in Oscoda.
Jason was a jack of all trades currently he was working as a Roofer and as a painter for All Colors Custom Painting. He loved to wrench on cars, take things apart and putting them back together again.
Jason was fearless and had a zeal for life. He loved all outdoor activities and spent countless hours hunting, fishing, and snow skiing with his grandpa. Jason truly loved the water and often commented that it was the place that he found peace and solace in this life. He was an excellent swimmer and had swam varsity as a seventh grader while attending Southgate Schools and later swam at Dearborn.
Jason loved his family unconditionally, he had a heart of gold, wore his feelings on his sleeve, and wasn’t afraid to give the shirt off his back for someone in need. He cared deeply for his friends treating them like family. The love he demonstrated for others was an inspiration to those around him.
Jason married Angela Kameron Noe on April 5, 2017 in Toledo, Ohio. He expressed his love for Kameron and said she was the best thing that ever happened to him. They brought the best out of each other.
Jason Lee Bartel, age 37, of Newport died on Friday, April 14, 2017 from injuries suffered when he was struck by a vehicle. His passing was preceded by his son: Jace A. Bartel; two sisters: Susan and Shannon Bartel; maternal grandparents: Cyril and Shirley Pugh Jr.; paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Bartel; Grandpa Rocky; cousin: Mikey Louks; and uncle: Benjuim Calhoun.
To cherish her memory he leaves his wife: Kameron of Newport; his mother and stepfather: Roxanne Pugh and Gerry Louks of Curtisville; Grandma Sandy of Southgate; father-in-law: Jerry Noe of Putney, Kentucky; a son: Asa Jean Babcock of Prescott; three step-sons: Austin Noe of Newport, Takoda Hubbard of Artemus, Kentucky, and Jason Witt of Newport; niece: Shannon Villarreal of Houghton Lake; three uncles: Cyke Pugh, Brett Pugh, Chris Calhoun; Great Aunt Della; Aunt Jenny; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Friends may call on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00am also at Merkle’s. Procession will follow to Ferndale Cemetery in Riverview for burial.
