She married the love of her life, Audie “Jerry” Partin on May 25, 1959. Together they would share in the birth of two children. The couple moved to LaSalle from Toledo, Ohio in November of 1970. Sue was a wonderful wife and mother. For twenty-six years she was employed by K-Mart in Monroe serving as the Checkout Supervisor retiring in 1997.
For the past ten years she was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. There she participated with the JOYS (Just Older Youth) and she used her love for sewing with the Crafting Ladies. Sue enjoyed visiting with others and especially enjoyed her church family.
Sue and Jerry made quite the pair. They enjoyed working on projects around the house together. Sue maintained a lovely yard and beautiful flowers, and they had also visited thirty-nine states riding tandem on a Honda motorcycle.
