Obituary of Penny Jo Blair

Penny Jo Blair was born on April 6, 1987 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Michael John Blair and Gina Marie (Pennington) King. Penny attended Erie Mason Consolidated Schools, but later earned her G.E.D. She was bubbly and happy all the time, and was always fun to be around. Penny loved children and throughout the years had served as a babysitter to many. She was also extremely generous and often spent the money she earned back on the children that she cared for. She loved to spend time with her two nephews and one niece and was a wonderful aunt to them. Penny enjoyed helping others and for several years she had been employed by her stepmother at Aunt Linda’s Dog Grooming. Here she performed many tasks including pet grooming. She had a beautiful soul with a warm, infectious smile. She also happened to be a pretty good poker player. Penny Jo Blair, age 29, of LaSalle passed away in Toledo unexpectedly on Friday March 24, 2017. Her passing was preceded by her father Michael. To cherish her memory, Penny leaves her mother: Gina Marie King (Greg Miller) of LaSalle; her stepmother: Linda (Timothy) Brann of Toledo; one sister: Tiana Pennington of Monroe; one brother: Kyle Pennington (Julie Salcido) of Monroe; two nephews: Lucas Gilford and David King; one niece: Mila King; and a special friend Mike and his granddaughter: Markayla whom Penny loved as her own. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Penny’s Life on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00pm at the American Legion Post 193, 11045 Harold Drive, Luna Pier, Michigan 48157. A meal will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street in Erie (734) 848-5185.
