Charline Marguerite Patterson
November 29, 1923 - May 25, 2012
Charline Ochs was born in Cawker City, Kansas on November 29, 1923. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Jacob and Anna (Smith) Ochs. She attended a one room, Catholic school. Charline married her true love the late Edward John Patterson on November 29, 1947 at St. Joseph Church in Monroe.
For more than twenty-six years she was employed as a machine operator for Ace Paper Products in Newport retiring in 1989.
The staples of her life were Faith, Family, Food, and Fashion. She rededicated her life to Christ and had attended Compelled Church in Bedford. Family was her passion and Charline cherished their time spent together. Charline liked entertaining although later in life she enjoyed being spoiled by her children. A culinary expert of sorts, Charline, always enjoyed big holiday and Sunday dinner family get-togethers.
Charline liked to keep up on fashion and loved to watch television and shop with QVC being one of her favorite ways. Keeping a collection of purses and jewelry was essential, "Bling was her Thing". She was straightforward in her approach although she enjoyed debating politics.
