Jerry Kenna Campbell was born in Charleston, West Virgina on September 20, 1942. He is one of ten children born from the union of the late Morgan and the late Charlotte (Wilson) Campbell. Jerry graduated with the class of 1960 from Charleston High School.
Jerry married the love of his life, the former Anna Wheatley on January 28, 1966 at the Church of Christ in Charleston. From this union came the birth of three children. He supported his family for more than thirty years as a crane operator for Ford Motor Company, finally retiring in 1993. Jerry was a valued member of the Monroe Lodge 27 Free and Accepted Masons.
Holidays were often shared at his home. He enjoyed cooking meals from scratch for his family and was known for a fabulous Sunday family breakfast. Jerry’s family meant the world to him. He especially adored his grandbaby Lyndee who was the light of his life. They spent a lot of time together and they especially enjoyed canning tomatoes together. He had a deep passion to ensure she had a good education.
Jerry was a hard worker. He enjoyed his cars and loved to show them off. He had many friends whom he enjoyed singing karaoke with. Jerry and his friends came together and created “JJ & The Country Four” a local county music band that played for many years. He enjoyed traveling and tending to his garden.
