Obituary of Larry Lee McMullin

Larry Lee McMullin was born on Monday October 26, 1953 in Monroe, Michigan. He was born from the union of the late Edward and the late Edith (Buskirk) McMullin. After high school, Larry went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army from 1971 through 1974. He was station in Germany working with the Signal Corp as a Lineman. Larry earned several commendations including the national defense medal and marksman. Larry Lee McMullin, age 63, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2017 at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded by his brother: Robert McMullin and a sister: Barbara Downs. To cherish his memory, Larry leaves six brothers: Richard Blakeman of Washington, Charles Blakeman, James (Pat) McMullin of Frenchtown Twp, Thomas McMullin of Monroe, David McMullin of Monroe, and William McMullin of Monroe; four sisters: Phyllis Castel of Blissfield, Mary (James) Ziegler of Florida, Dolores (Tom) Balk of Monroe, and Kathy (Pete) Robidoux; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe 2442 N. Monroe Street, Monroe, (734) 384-5185. A private burial has taken place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
