Obituary of Marion Louise Kull

Marion Louise Hoppert was born September 15, 1917 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late George and late Anna (Oerther) Hoppert. Marion married the love of her life, Elten Kull in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1936. From this union came the birth of six children. She supported her family by working on the family farm and helping to raise her large family. Marion was true to her roots caring for all her farm animals, gardening and being the best mother to her children possible. She spent a lot of her time in the kitchen cooking and canning anything possible, never allowing any food to go to waste. She made excellent sliders for her homemade chicken noodle soup, as well as great sauerkraut. Marion would often head out to the woods to pick all sorts of wild berries to preserve later, black raspberries and strawberries to name a few. She enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, loving her children deeply. Marion never passed up a chance to play some cards when visitors came. She enjoyed visits from the grandkids and making them cinnamon toast with hot cocoa. Marion met many friends along the way in which she cherished. She lived a vibrant life, never sweating the small things that came her way. Marion Louise Kull, age 99 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2016 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
