Michael Charles Elliott was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on November 3, 1957. He was the son of the late Charles Elliott and the late Margaret (Marski) Elliott. After graduating from high school, Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Michael was very talented with his hands. For many years he worked in the trucking industry as a mechanic. In his free time he liked to wrench on cars and he was particularly fond of his 1968 Pontiac GTO. Having a love for speed, Michael took every opportunity he had to put the pedal to the metal and race. His favorite places to race included the Milan Dragway, Norwalk Raceway Park, and Detroit Raceway.
Michael also loved the outdoors and he enjoyed fishing. He was an avid lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears football team. Michael had attended the Monroe Full Gospel Church.
Michael Charles Elliott, age 54 of Toledo, passed away at 4:50am Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by two brothers: Richie Elliott and Douglas Elliott; and his grandfather: Walter Marski.
To cherish his memory, Michael leaves four children: Brandon Elliott of Monroe, Jamie Stutsman of Monroe, Joyce Hindbaugh of Monroe, and Jeffery Elliott of Monroe; one brother: Kenneth Elliott; one sister: Dana Elliott; and twelve grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is being planned in the near future. Those interested in attending should contact the family directly. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements.
