Obituary of Edna Marie Keesee
Edna Marie Gross was born on November 29, 1942 in Bristol, Tennessee. She was born from the union of the late Stanley Gross Sr. and the late Effie Mae (Rouse) Gross.
She married the love of her life, Jessie Keessee on October 18, 1959 at Cold Springs Methodist Church in Tennessee. From this union came the birth of four daughters. Edna was feisty with a fun sense of humor. She enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles, playing computer games and watching classic movies. Edna was very particular always keeping her house in tip top shape and enjoyed having her landscaping redone every year.
Edna loved to tell stories and talk on the phone with the rest of her family. She was awesome at giving the best gifts and loved to host the family holiday parties, Christmas being her favorite. Edna made sure everyone had a gift. She spent time playing cards with her friends and they could be assured that she would share about her children, grandchildren and great grandson who she bragged about continuously. Edna enjoyed traveling, including cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean along with going to the casino. She was an avid fan of our local Detroit area teams: Detroit Red Wings, the Pistons and Indy/Nascar Racing.
In 1974, Edna began employment with the Chrysler Corporation. She worked as a machine operator for the next thirty years assigned to the Trenton Engine Plant. She retired in 2004.
