Obituary of Rebecca Lee McCarty
Rebecca Lee McCarty was born in Monroe, Michigan on Tuesday, January 14, 1964. She was one of six children born from the union of the late David and Vera(Myers) Williams. Becky was educated through the Jefferson School district, though she graduated high school from Carl Brablec in Roseville, Michigan with the class of 1982. She later attended Michigan College of Beauty in Monroe.
Becky married William McCarty on May 3, 1985 in Toledo, Ohio. From this union, came the birth of three wonderful children. Becky simply loved life, she loved being a mother and taking care of her family. Becky was an avid volunteer and a distinguished member of Kiwanis. Her faith was strong and loved God.
She lived life to the fullest, when she wasn’t traveling to places like Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon with her son, Steven, she was singing, and doing karaoke. Becky enjoyed baking cakes and crocheting items for loved ones in her quiet time. She loved to spend countless hours shopping. Becky seemed to be a natural in the garden with beautiful flowers and was an exceptional handyman around the house. Becky was very loving to others, but would never sugar coat the truth we needed.
