I am sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. Her family lived down the street from mine.
So we did spend time together growing up. Her mom used to drive my brother Gerard and I to school sometimes. It sounds like she had a very full life, giving back in a very faith filled way. She followed the way of our Lord and is now back home. God bless Cathy and her family.

Dear Jim and Family,
I am stunned to learn of Cathy's death. So many people knew her and she knew them for years and years. Our lives first crossed during our school years at Sacred Heart School in Dearborn where your mom, Jim, was our gym teacher. We were only in a couple of the same classes but would squeeze in a sentence or two when we exchanged classes.
Sometimes, after school I would drop in at the cleaners on Monroe street in Dearborn where she use to work just to say hi. She always seemed to have a down to earth sense about her . Back then as well as in these recent years she always seemed to be aware of the world around her. She was alert to use many different opportunities to make the world better because she was here and could.
In these most recent years, when I'd bump into her at some store or something, it was always good to catch up on what was happening since our last time of seeing each other.
She loved the Lord and always wanted to do what she could to bring others into a personal relationship with Him. May God greet her with the soothing words "Well done good and faithful servant. Come, into my mansion. I've prepared a place for you."
We'll keep all of you in prayer.
Mary ( Cousino) Pio

For over 20 years, Cathy generously donated her time and talent to helping us at The Companions of Christ the Lamb (CCL) publish our quarterly newsletter. She also helped us put out a history book, brochures and and other publications. To each project she brought ingenuity and enthusiasm. She had a servant's heart and always sought to make each publication the best it could be. We have been praying for her and her family since we learned of these recent health setbacks and will continue to pray for her and her family. We will sorely miss her upbeat and enthusiastic spirit. May she rest in peace!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jim and the entire family. Even with this terrible loss, we know that she sits with the Lord today and that is a blessing. May He show you comfort and strength in the days and weeks ahead. Kim and Karin Weldy (Uncle Bernard's family)

We all send our condolences. Brian & the boys wish they could be there for the service and send their love. We all feel so fortunate to have been able to spend time with Aunt Cathy & the rest of the family this summer at Mark's retirement ceremony. The boys have some great memories of their Aunt that they will treasure always.
