Obituary of Barbara Kohl

Barbara Jean Kohl, age 65, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died on April 9, 2007 at the Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Covenant Cremation and Funeral Society. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stark Funeral Home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Ms. Kohl was born on January 3, 1942 in Woodstock, Illinois, the daughter of Dayton C. Kennedy and Lucille (Rickert) Kennedy. She had lived in Ann Arbor since 1972, and was a registered nurse at the University of Michigan Hospital, the Taubman Clinic. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, and president of the Resident Council at University Assisted Living. She enjoyed fishing at Indian River, MI and Long Lake, Wisconsin and making and selling jewelry, and bowling. Ms. Kohl is survived by two sons, Brian Kohl (Ian Nally) of Toledo, Ohio and Christopher (Lisa) Kohl of Willis, Michigan; 1 sister, Nancy (Elwyn) Jones of Capron, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Haley; a nephew, Mike (Michelle) Jones of Illinois; and a niece Tracy (Rick Shaller) of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Arbor Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
