Obituary of Tyler Allan Walls
Tyler Allan Walls, born January 24, 2000 to the late John and Kimberly Walls here in Monroe County, he departed this world on November 7, 2016 after a short stay in Toledo Promedica Hospital. Though Tyler was only here a short sixteen years, he impacted a great many people. A charismatic and energetic youth, he was a young man who was truly raised by a village. Tyler was a child of the community, involved in many facets and with many individuals of Monroe County. Many of those individuals will forever be changed by Tyler, knowing that the quality of his time with us greatly exceeded the amount of time we each were able to enjoy this amazing and kind-hearted young man.
Tyler was described by his loved ones as a generous and loyal young man, one whose easy smile reached his beautiful eyes. Tyler was a champion of the underdog, and frequently sought out individuals who were smaller or less advantaged than he and stepped in as a protector, even while overcoming much in his own short life. Tyler loved his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and loved exploring, swimming, boating, fishing and basically anything that took him outside. Tyler often talked of moving to the wilderness in Alaska or Montana once he was done with high school and trade school.
Tyler is survived by five half-siblings: Kaitlyn Kurtz, Amanda Ramirez, Autumn Walls, Travis Walls and Toby Linoo, by his mother, step-mother, grandparents, cousins as well as other family members. Tyler’s passing is a painful reminder to everyone who cherished this caring young man, to celebrate every day and to take nothing for granted. He leaves behind a deeply grieving community who will forever be changed by a silly, lovable boy with a huge heart, who just wanted to make people laugh.
The community is invited to celebrate Tyler and the impact his life made on so many. Friends may gather from 12:00noon to 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm, with Senior Pastor Tracy Palm from House of Prayer Church and Christian Wellness Center, officiating.
